1. To do any changes around your website, login to the admin area. The panel you can see in the picture below is the main tool bar we will use to customize the website.
2. Have a look around, go to different site pages and get a basic idea of how your website should look like. Home page is the first thing visitors see, so making it attractive and informative is No1 task.
First of all look at the page properties: go to the “Edit Page Layout” tab and press “Page Properties”. Here you can set name, html title and meta tags of the page. After corrections are done hit the button “Save current page”.
HTML title gives the key information about our website to search engines, so we changed the home page title for better indexing. Here is the result:
3. Now we need to specify the company name so visitors could know what private lawyer delivers this website to them. Chose the tab “Edit content” and click on “Edit highlighted content” right near the logo area.
In the opened window type necessary company name and chose “Yes” in the field below. Save element by hitting the “Save” button.
The same way you can edit the bottom slogan (right under the company name) and the top slogan (under the welcome text).
4. Like any other content element, welcome text is editable. If you want to change text or template photos as well, click “Edit highlighted content” and with the help of usable WYSIWYG editor do the operations you need. To change pictures in the welcome text, click button “iBrowser”. In the opened window you can find fitting pics in our media library. Or you can upload them from your computer. Pick the first button “Upload file” in the bottom part of the window => choose necessary photo => click green button “Upload”. New picture will appear in the media library. Find it in the “Images” section, select and click “Insert”.

5. And we're continuing to modify the home page for Joseph Burns' website. What about adding some more information to the page? With Site2You website builder tools this is like a piece of cake. For example, we need to embed a video file with a message of Joseph Burns to his clients.
To do this, go to “Edit Page Layout” tab => “Add content box” => “Photo&Video” => “Yahoo video” (or any other video server). Just grab needed item and drag it to the content area. In the video properties window embed the video source code (all video servers provide these details) or paste single video details such as video ID, width and height.
To Edit video content box, move to the “Edit content” tab and press “Edit highlighted content” button in the video area. Here you can set title for the video, resize it or change the ID details. Don't forget to save the changes.
6. Our website builder CMS provides special info boxes tailored to the law company possible needs. You can simply choose one of them and set their position in the site body space. Each of the page texts can be adjusted to any topic purposes.
In our example, we enriched the home page with infobox “Attorneys profiles”, Google map, which shows the company location, video message and section “Events”. Here is new appearance of our homepage:
7. In the previous article we covered some attractive sides of blogging. Considering this, it makes sense to add blog page to our website. Blog will become an additional content source for you, it will make your website more interactive and search engine friendly.
All the details and nuances of blog creation within our site maker are revealed in the previous post. Now we will just consider some alternative option of blog page settings: the page won't have its own menu button, we will give it a submenu item instead.
For this purpose, click on “Advanced Content Editing" tab and on the right menu select “Work with pages” => “Blog”. In the settings section you can edit page information the way you need.
After that go down the page. Here you will see section “Add a menu button”. Set the name of the menu item and choose its level. Click “Submit” and save the changes.
